Wendy's new Challenge

Wendy (The Clipart Fairy) has started a new discussion group HERE Her first item is a challenge. She had given us a frame to work with ( in black and white) to colour as we like.
I've digitally coloured mine and cut the frame out to add as a topper. The backing I have printed straight onto the card, and added the lace effect in GCF.

Two for Grandson

Had to make these two quickly this afternoon as we are off on holiday tomorrow, to Cornwall.
Doesn't look as if the weather will be favourable, but what the heck it will be a break!!

And so to Number 3

This is my favourite I think this week for the Less is More challenge. Again digitally composed. The background I did in GCF and used a backing I had made myself. A sort of marble effect. Instead of just using a square or a circle for the frame, I decided on a flower shape, just to be a little different.

Less is More Number 2

My second card this week for the Less is More challenge which is "In the Frame" As usual it is digitally composed and printed directly onto the card..............I am NOT into stamping!!

These weeks fly by

The first of my cards for Less is More this week..........The recipe is a one layer card "in the frame" My mind was blank at first but then I had so many ideas I had to stop and take a check. This one, as are the others is digitally composed. although before you tell me Chrissie it could have printed slightly higher.

Here is a Freebie backing paper I used in my previous card, courtesy of The Clipart Fairy
Don't forget to click on it to make it larger before saving it.

Don't get in a Flap

Another box card using the template on the previous post. This time using The clipart Fairy's elements. I do believe the Backing paper was a freebie from a while ago. The shaper and flapper are both from another kit.

Box Card from my own Template

I've seen a couple of these made up and they look great except I found them a little small. So I worked out a template using almost a full size A4 sheet of card.

They are easy enough to put together, just remember to print the backing paper on the BACK of the front of the card too.

No 2 Monochrome for LIM

Card number 2 for Less is More. As a few of you know, I am NOT into stamping. But I do love digi stamps, so decided to experiment today with changing the colour outlines. This is a Melstampz digi image which I took into paint.Net and altered the colour from black. I then shaded it slightly with a very pale pink whisper pen. Printed onto a DL card blank. Sentiment is computer generated. After reading Chrissie's comment, I decided to have another go! This time tweaked the colour slightly to a Fuchsia colour and positioned it over to the left a tad. Yes, I think it has improved it. Thank you Chrissie!

Less is More "Monochrome"

I've lost count on what week we are on now, at "Less is More" I so enjoy pitting my wits against Chrissie and Mandi.
This week's challenge is monochrome, which is not just black and white but can be any colour as long as they are all from one area of your chosen spectrum. I have chosen to do a variation of warm browns, rusts and umbers...........printed onto ivory card stock. I then finished with a few pearls and a computer generated sentiment.

A Father's Day Card

I made this for my 4 year old granddaughter to give to her daddy. I did the same on Mother's day. It's a set by the clipart fairy, but I tweaked the colour to make it blue! The heart stoppers are cut out from the backing paper that comes with the set, and layered. As some of you know My OH retired last weekend, and he asked me to make a couple of thank you cards to send to various departments. the first one is inspired by a card I saw on Less is More, and is a Pink Petticoat image............marvellous for almost anything! ......Including a sympathy card

The bird image is from PC Crafter.... Bird Life.
