At Last...... a Less is More Card

At last I am able to add photographs...........It must be three weeks since I first had the problem with blogger. There has been NO browse button on my post when I needed to download a photo. So, no LIM cards for a while.
This week's theme is a sketch, a strip somewhere near the bottom of the card, using no more than a third of the space, and keeping a horizontal plane. I've chosen to do 3D butterflies, using a butterfly punch, and inking the edges with blue. The sentiment is computer generated.

Suspenders card

I'm loving making these at the moment. I bought a few yesterday, and didn't need to rack my brains wondering what to do when I was a asked to make a 65th Birthday card last night. It's nice that you get a blank topper too, as you can use the image of your choice. Sometimes you just need something a little more mature!

Thanks to The Clipart Fairy

For the want of something to do, I decided I'd make my family January Cards. I enjoyed making the suspender cards at Christmas and thought some Birthday ones might make a change. But Wendy didn't have any on her website...........So I contacted her, and lo and behold she got busy yesterday and made a fair few................Thank you Wendy.... Find her website HERE .... I've spent a small fortune, but it will keep me going for a while. I like the fact that you can now add your own image too.

I've also used Wendy's elements to make the two fold away cards too. The right hand label is secured by popping it underneath a button.

Dies dies and more dies

Not used dies in a while but I received a couple I ordered this morning and as luck would have it, I had an order for two 21st Birthday cards.
The edge dies are so nice for a special card, weddings, anniversaries and special birthdays, I was able to put it to use straight away.
All in all, I think I used 6 dies on one card, and two dies on the other. My bug was working hard this morning!!

I've been designing Christmas cards to make for NEXT year

I've decided to make my Christmas cards in batches next year so have been looking at something simple to do.
I've designed these, all A6 so I can print 4 toppers on an A4 sheet of card.
Once the template is done..........that is what takes the time...........they are so easy to do.
ALL done with fonts
The image is a font too called SL Christmas Silhouettes

Now this week at Less is More it is
 COLOUR
Red and Green

So I decided to make some in those colours..........Not too happy with the outcome. The green glitter
is far too heavy, and because I took the photo before it was dry the gold doesn't look too good either.
BUT I DO like how the NOEL has turned out. Again, mostly fonts except for the holly sprigs. I have coloured the berries with a glace pen just to make them stand out a bit.

And the original one in gold!

Glamour and Glitz at LIM

Hi everyone

GLAMOUR AND GLITZ

this week at Less is More

I had a long hard think about this, as I like to make cards I will eventually use. Also looking at everyone's photos, most were finding them very difficult to photograph. Then I remembered I had some glitter card so designed a fairly simple card with an ornamental brad  I bought a while ago.
Added two photos, as the first one came out two different colours on the glitter card, and as you can see on the second....it is the same....and photographed much better
