Wedding Bookatrix

I had an order for this one last night, I've always wanted to use the bride and groom on a swing, so I thought "Now's my chance".

It's from six people............whether it's from six in one family or a group of friends, I am not too sure. So in case they didn't want to write directly onto the card I've made a separate tag come bookmark for them to sign. I've made the box little different to normal.............I thought I would do two hearts on this one covered in acetate.

Anniversary card with a difference

It's a year since the village pub was taken over by Carey and Mandy. They are lovely people and they are putting on a bit of a do tonight. I thought I would make them a card. Still not too sure about it though..................I'd already made one for someone else and used the La Pashe pub theme

My card from the Wedding challenge

This was my contribution. There were some lovely cards entered, It wasn't surprising mine didn't come in the running. The winner was stunning and a very worthy winner.

Wedding card with Jak's free Wedding papers

Just a quickie, BP printed on vellum. For some reason the ribbon has come out silver when in fact it was edged with gold!

Pregnancy Card

For a friend who's pregnant at 44. It must have come as quite a shock, but they are coming to terms with it. She has passed that crucial stage now so I thought I would send her a card.

A few Christmas cards

I went to Morrisons this morning and bought the Simply cards and papercraft magazine. They are giving away The Christmas CD Rom from Crafter's companion. The magazine is only £3.99 but the CD Rom is worth £14.99. A great Buy. I printed out one sheet of BP and one sheet of Tags. I've made three cards with that. I hope you like them, dead easy to make!

Whisky Card

If I am stuck for a card for an elderly man. This one seems to be good to fall back on. Most enjoy a drop of whisky and the label can be personalised to suit. This one was made for an uncle who in his working life worked on and helped build Concorde, hence Concorde Reserve. It's a shame we can't make his party.......................It's on the same day as our own party celebrating 40 years wed!

Four new cards recycled

Having just had a birthday I like to go through all my cards and recycle what I can. These cards are all made with recycled bits and pieces. The red square one, although it doesn't show up too well, has a strip across the bottom with an embossed thanks on.

At last......Anniversary card finished

It's taken me between 4- 5 days to finish this one. I've only been able to snatch 10 mins here and there because OH is home after having an operation on his thumb. He had it a month ago now, and is feeling so much better it's "Shall we go here?" "Shall we go there?"

Today we have been down to visit my friend that had the accident this morning. Out to lunch. Then down to visit another friend this afternoon. With a bit of luck he will have settled down for a few zzzzzzzzzzz now so I can upload this in peace!

The card is just short of A4 size. I hope you like it. I'm quite pleased with it. I hope he likes it.

40 years is a lifetime.

A Thank You Card

An order for a thank you card. I used GCF for this one and decoupaged the flowers although as usual it doesn't show too well in the photo. Added a butterfly stuck straight to the card at the body but the wings have pads under them to make them stand up. Added a little glitter glue to the flowers, but that is difficult to photograph too!

Didn't get around to posting yesterday

Yesterday was my birthday and I had a lovely day, apart from getting absolutely drowned going to the doctors in the morning. Tony is still struggling with his thumb after his operation, and cannot drive for a while. It turns out he now has an infection in it, which will put the healing process back about a week.

Because he cannot drive yet means we are limited to where we can go at the moment. We went to our local last night for a meal. We were treated really well, my first glass of wine was paid for as were our sweets. We both had rump steak which was cooked to perfection. All in all there was no need to go anywhere else, everything we wanted was right on the doorstep!

I came home last night and started a Ruby Anniversary card for Tony. We have been married 40 years 9th of next month. I want something different, larger than an A5 but not a plain A4 card. So I started off with two pieces of A4 card and have made it into a gatefold card. I have cut the concentric hearts out today and added red ribbon. I can only do a little at a time or he wants to know what I am doing!! Just realised I need some red gems! I'll post it when it is finished.

Wedding Card and New Job Card

I was asked to make a wedding card and a new job card. The wedding card was easy enough. But the new job card was for someone who was going to be a paramedic. I looked and looked and in the end had to ask for help on the imag-e-nation forum. Luckily shepherdess came to my rescue. Thank you, it was just the job.

Variations on the Same Theme

After making that card yesterday, it got me thinking...........Yes I do sometimes.

I have some lovely PNG images and that sort of card would work on almost anything. So I had a play.

The pink cat was used as a thank you card but would work equally well as a child's birthday card.

The rabbit is on pale blue card stock.........I don't think it works as well...........I prefer the white!

The knight I did because I liked the image. I will put greetings on later when I decide who it's for....................But it makes a great men's card, don't you think?

Birthday card inspired by Jak and Karen J

After seeing Karen's card made with Jak's image I just had to have a go. Instead of doing a wedding card I thought it would work just as well as a birthday card. Maybe the matted image could have been a little bigger!

The rose was printed onto vellum as was the greetings. Then it was lightened on GCF to give a muted image. A tiny piece of double sided tape on each corner, which is covered by the adhesive pearls. The single rose is layered onto gold mirri card and raised with pads.

Birthday Cards

These are her birthday Cards

First Blogspot

Well, where do I start? Everyone seemed to be starting a blog, so I thought why not?

I have my husband home with me at the moment, because he's had an operation on his thumb. We did what we very seldom do these days and walked into town and wandered around the market. Being a seaside resort it gets very busy with holidaymakers or grockles as they are called locally.
It was a lovely morning after yesterday, when we had gales and very heavy rain. Lunch time we called into the local fish and chip shop and bought and ate our take away sat on a bench by the river. It was gorgeous!
