L I M thank you

How could I not do the other card on the Lucky Dip this week, which is a Thank You card.
You had the choice on Less is More a congratulations card or a Thank You card. Image I've had on my computer for yonks, and honestly don't know where I got it
Just printed it straight onto card and embellished it with tiny lilac pearls

Unlucky for some?

It's week 13 at Less is More and the the guidelines this week is Lucky Dip........ Congratulations or Thank you. I've opted for the Congratulations as this card can be used as an anniversary card or for a wedding. The stars are from some BP on the Forever friends cd and the image from a scrapbooking set I bought ages ago. I've Coloured the bubbles, the flowers and the leaves with sakura glaze pens to give a bit more definition, not that it came out in the photo!
Congratulations was computer generated............. Jellyka Endless Voyage font

Goldfinch

I knew it was Steve's birthday coming up. but it threw me a bit when she asked for a goldfinch!! It usually is to do with drinking and I was going to use the Victoria Case digi image of the barmaid. So a quick rethink! And came up with this..................

Less is More "Off centre"

I had made this card a few weeks ago, but didn't put a sentiment on at the time because I wasn't sure who it was going to. So had to add a sentiment....................On reflection, I think the sentiment would have been better printed on, but as I am having trouble getting my printer to print on heavier card at the moment, I had no option anyway!

This is being entered into the new challenge from Less is More this week. And the recipe this week is "Off Centre"

More acetate butterflies

A friend saw the get well card I made recently and wanted a 50th birthday card for her friend in the same style. As I am into acetate butterflies at the moment, no prizes for guessing what I did!

Easter card with Acetate Butterflies

I had an unexpected Easter card from my neighbours this morning, so set to work to return one. (I don't normally send Easter cards)

As I had some more printable acetate arrive yesterday I thought I would incorporate more butterflies onto this card, just to show how delicate they can appear. They are a devil trying to photograph though!! If you fold them with their wings almost closed they will stay like that and just pop back when you take it out of the envelope!

This is another entry into Less is More this week, whose guidelines this week is the use of Acetate.

Get well card

For an 11 year old girl who has broken her arm. I have loads and loads of images but not one suitable for a girl with a broken arm. So I played it safe with this image from Doodle Pantry and just sent hugs.

The base card is from The clipart fairy called large flower frame.

Less is More Week 11 Mk 2

I've been meaning to give this a go for a while, after seeing Janeygrey on crafters reunited forum make one similar. Ah I thought.........this will suit the challenge on Less is More this week, which is acetate. I printed the card front out just a wee bit smaller than the base card which is 6 x 6 then cut a piece of acetate 6 x 6.5. Added a small contrasting border on the acetate, top and bottom, then I scored down both sides of the longer sides, and wrapped it around the card front before adhering it to the card blank. Thus hiding all the tape and adhesive. It gives a sort of bubble effect, as you can see by the second photo.

Less is More Week 11

Guidelines this week is to use acetate at Less is More. Mmmmmmmmmm, I knew what I had in mind to do, so started off well - then it all went pear shaped! The frame centre is acetate and I intended to cut an aperture and have the sentiment on the inside of the card - But I put the double sided tape on the wrong side of the sentiment. OK rethink!! I still cut an aperture but stuck the sentiment to the inside front of the card and applied the frame with foam tape to give it a little dimension, lastly I added a butterfly that was printed onto acetate.

Fire Fire!!

This is an order for a 90 yr old lady who is hoping for a ride in a fire engine on her birthday. So the lady who ordered it wanted a fireman on the front. The only fireman digi stamp I know of is from Victoria Case, so had to order it P D Q. And true to form Victoria got it to me the same day. Isn't it cute?

Less is More Week 10

How time flies! Another week gone by and it's saturday again. This weeks challenge from Less is More is a one layer card that focuses on the sentiment. I very often use this image, but normally have her sitting on the person's name to make it a bit more personal. But that "R" looked lovely and comfortable so thought I would try it this way for a change. The text is computer generated. The R is "champignon" and the image is from The clipart fairy and is called lounge girls

I hate this

Not the card I might add...................I love this......... It's just I hate making cards for thr sake of it. I'd much rather make a card for someone and personalise it. This is a download from scrapbookingmad.com Have a good look around it's surprising what is on there! And very reasonable!!

A triple easel card A5

I have only ever made one triple easel card before and that was 12" x 4" closed. Very difficult to find an envelope for that one, and had to cut down an A4 envie. So wanted to try to do one that would fit C5 envelope. Had a play yesterday and worked out the dimensions, which turned out quite well. Frames and images from "The clipart fairy"

Less is More Week 9

We are on week 9 at Less is More........Amazing really as I am thoughly enjoying doing these type of cards. The image I've used this week was originally just black and white, but I took it into Paint.Net and changed the middle dress to red to comply with this weeks guidelines which is "A touch of Red" I love this image as it has a classic feel to it!
