Less is More Card 3

I had a new Christmas tree die arrive this morning, and had to have a play......like you do.......
At first I was bit disappointed as it didn't cut very well, but I added a couple of shims of card and it worked a lot better. It is a bummer to stick though as it is really finely cut, but I got round it by spraying the back with adhesive.

This is my 3rd card this week for Less is More and they are trying to get 1000 plus to enter their challenge. Luckily it is "anything goes" so I was able to enter this one.

A card for my DIL

Her birthday isn't until November but I was itching to try the new freebie from The Clipart Fairy, which you can find HERE The topper was bought from the same range, which is called "rose garden" The flower was made using a tutorial by my friend and fellow member of the Crafters reunited forum, Daizy-Mae and that can be found HERE

Anything goes!

This week at Less is More it is "Anything Goes" they are trying to get 1000 submissions this week, so have given everyone a free reign provided it is still clean and simple.

Our friend Barry's birthday is coming up and thought I would make this card for him, he is a very busy driving instructor and his work day is ruled by the clock..........with appointments......soooooooooo

Seeing Double

That time of the week again.......doesn't the weeks fly by.................This week at Less is More it is seeing double which is to be a one layer card.
I've had this fish image for some time and thought it was just the right time to use it. So popped one on and flipped the other so they are kissing! The bubbles are in fact the letter O randomly printed on.

Wedding cards....One with a difference!!!

Phew!! I panicked when I had this order.........It is for the daughter of a pig farmer and the lady wanted either a farmyard wedding theme or more specifically PIGS!! Well I didn't think I had a snowballs chance in hell, but when I started looking for images I found this one HERE. Free to download...........I took the background out and made the dress white............I did tell her I didn't perform miracles but I think I've got somewhere near it!
Thank goodness the second one was more straightforward, the image is from liliofthevalley
The top sentiment is a free download on my blog HERE

A Happy Accident?

I knew I had some sheets of metal somewhere............After making my first card, I found them......in my filing cabinet..... the only place I didn't look

Now down to my card, the metal was green and I used part of the embossing folder from crafts too called dandelion whispers, I then tried to highlight the flower heads by using alchohol inks, but smudged it slightly so had the bright idea of using nail polish remover, to remove the smudge........................What did it do but take the green away...................well part of it. It gives it a sort of grungey look, and I quite like it! I hope Mandi and Chrissie does too at Less is more

Another one very difficult to photograph successfully though

Less is More this week

Less is More this week is Colour...............but actually metallic.......... I've searched my craftroom high and low and I know I have some metal somewhere.....but do you think I can find it?

So I did the next best thing........The black is actually a graphite grey pearlised card on which I printed a frame of damask flowers. If you take the card out of the printer quickly and sprinkle with embossing powder you can then heat emboss.........which I did with silver. The sentiment is printed directly onto the white card and an aperture cut in the graphite grey, so it shows through. But as you said it is a devil to photograph and show it at it's best!
