Seeing Stars

Yes that is the theme of this weeks LIM challenge
  "STARS"
I was quite pleased with the result this week, so I took it outside to photograph it on the patio table in the daylight...........when a gust of wind blew it over onto it's front!!
Hence there are a couple of marks on it (one right by the sentiment) But do you know you can hardly see them with the naked eye.........the camera has picked up and magnified every mark!!

I'll have to see whether I can rub them off with the eraser.

Polkadots mark 2

Inspired from a card we had for our anniversary. 2nd LIM card for this week, which is polkadots.

I've spent the morning (In between cooking lunch) Creating this sentiment Christmas tree. I had seen it done somewhere and thought I'd have a go for the LIM challenge this week.
The theme this week is polka dots, and to fit with the theme I've added them to look like baubles.
I have also added the actual sentiment as a png image if anyone would like it. Just open it up to it's full size and save.
Created in Craftbook Artist.

Retirement card for lady who loves cats

Decoupaged Easel card for a lady who loves cats. I used a verse from Greetings card factory and noticed after I had made it "favourite" is spelt the american way "favorite" I hope it goes unnoticed as I don't really want to make it all over again!!

Cocktails

Another week and another challenge at Less is More the theme for which is
COCKTAIL
You may interpret this however you wish... your favourite tipple, the colours of a cocktail or a simply cocktail of colours. Let your imagination run with this one, it will be interesting to see how imaginative you can be.

Here is a little fun... you can follow the link HERE  to see what cocktail you are...
I am
3 parts success
2 parts warmth
1 part understanding

with a splash of seductiveness

The card I've made is from a digi set by The Clipart Fairy
and the sentiment sure goes with the image!

I am feeling quite pleased with myself

I've managed to adapt one of Wendy's downloads to a different shape
The base is the plate (where you would normally write who it is from) blown up to make the base card.
And the toppers are the book a easel pages.
The rocker card is one of her latest downloads

The challenge for St Lukes Hospice is masculine

The St Lukes Hospice challenge

Not everybody's cup of tea, and I'm with the rest, but they have to be done, so best make the best of them.

This particular card was for an ex referee.

A mix of different orders

Just a couple of orders...... Two for the same person, one a birthday card and the other an anniversary card. Also a babies Christening card. Apologies for the poor photo quality.... I like to take them outside in the daylight but today is far too windy!!

Week 36 LIM card

So sorry I've missed week 34 and 35, My computer went kaput and I've had an upgrade but still not working 100%. I'm hoping he is coming back tomorrow to really sort it out this time.
Anyway I digress...........this weeks LIM recipe is a one layer card with a heart or hearts on. The heart I've used is a font called Love Romance, the word LOVE is also from the same font. I decided to print it in pale blue as it reminded me of the sky so also drew in three little birds flying. I hope you like.

Don't know what to call this shape.

This is a shape I had to try after seeing a card made by a colleague on the craftersreunited forum. Thank you Trace I love it, even if it's all measuring and cutting!!

Been having problems

Both computer problems and personal family ones.
Firstly I've been offline for about ten days due to computer playing up, so decided to have an upgrade. That arrived back on Friday, but still not working right...........teething troubles.
I went to use my GCF and because I am now using windows 7 it wasn't compatible so had to buy a later version. The annoying thing is there is hardly any difference between GCF5 and GCF8................why bother making another version if they are not going to upgrade it.

At the same time all this was happening, my 92 yr old MIL has been diognosed with cancer, so hubby has been away visiting and has only come back for a couple of nights in the last fortnight.
At one time it was touch and go, but she is a tough old lady and she has picked up again. She is well enough to leave hospital so now is going into a care home as she cannot look after herself anymore. I hope she continues to improve............but I fear the worst will happen sooner or later.

Sorry about the long post, I thought I had better explain why I've been missing!
