Forget Love.................

Oh my....... this is my 3rd card this week for the challenge at Less is More. Because I didn't have much fruit in my digi images, I went searching for some. Someone directed me to Beccy's place where I found this gorgeous choccy dipped strawberry image, she also mentioned this sentiment, which I thought went with the image very well!

I cut an A4 sheet down to make a 6 x 6 card. Cut an aperture from an oval nestie, popped some red ribbon around the two sides, printed the image on another piece of card and stuck it on the inside of the front

I found a bowl of cherries!

Don't they look good enough to eat?
I trawled through all my digi stamps again and found this bowl of cherries. I coloured it up with promarkers and made a second card, for Less is More.
This week it is Feeling Fruity, or fruity colours. I could have been predicable and used the sentiment "Life is just a bowl of cherries" but thought I would use a variation on "Thank you BERRY much"

Had to try some to see if it was fruity enough! HIC!!

The recipe this week at Less in More is Feeling Fruity and as I don't have stamps, I have looked through all my digi stamps, and the only one I could find was grapes, and what is wine made from??
Personally I prefer a gin & tonic. But as we are raising a glass, I wish the Less is More team a Very Happy Half Birthday. Cheers!!

Flower Tutorial

I've been asked how I made the flowers on the previous post. So have put a brief picture tutorial together.

2nd card for Less is More

I have only ever used a button once on a card, but I do have a jar full of them from items of clothing which have been thrown away. Copied from my mother, as after the war they learnt to be thrifty!
I made these flowers by twisting each petal of ribbon and sticking them to a circle of card, finished off with a button for the center. The stems and leaves I drew in with promarkers.
The sentiment is computer generated.
My second entry to Less is More this week, I hope you like....................The first time I have tried flowers like this, and I am pleased with the result!

I've done a tutorial on how to make these flowers. It can be found HERE

The button heart is a digi stamp digitally coloured with about 15 shades of pink!!
I cannot for the life of me remember where I downloaded it from, but I bet one of you will know.

Thanks to Jeanie who found the digi stamp HERE

New Art Deco Frames

from Theclipart fairy. I've been asked by someone I used to work with about 15 years ago if I would like to show some cards in a cake accessory shop she is opening in October. I think what she is after is book a easel cards and up market cards to sell with her cakes. She makes fantastic cakes in all shapes and sizes. So as well as selling accessories I'm sure she will be selling cakes too.! The clipart fairy added two lovely art deco frames to her shop today, isn't this one wonderful. I haven't got round to making a card from the other yet....just give me time.
These two are the start of some samples.

"Circles" Mark Two

I had promised myself I was going to make Christmas cards for these challenges between now and Christmas, but as I had some birthdays coming up I thought I would combine the two.
For the theme of CIRCLES I didn't think I could go far wrong in making a circular easel card, you don't see many easel cards on the LIM challenges..............Perhaps I'll start a trend!! lol

Less is More is "Circles"

The theme this week at Less is More is CIRCLES. I thought I have just the paper..........Clocks!!
So I Layered the paper on the front in a strip and printed the single clock inside. Then I had to measure very carefully to get the aperture on the right place. ( it could have done with being a smidgen further up) I have made it for a friend and I like to put their name on, so you will notice I have printed KEV on the clock face.
I haven't got many punches with circles in but I managed to find a fiskars one I haven't used in a while!!

A Portrait Box Card

I was asked to make a card for a lady with a picture of her pet on there, so decided to make a box card, when you look through the aperture there is the photo. It will actually fold flat and fit into an envelope, but I think it finishes it off if it is boxed.

My own template can be found HERE

Something with Legs 2

Oh how I'd love to have legs like hers! In fact Oh to have a body like hers too. I can do the sentiment quite easily, but might not quite hit the floor!!
This is my third entry into the LIM challenge this week. I think this week I could go on and on..............
