What a day!

My dog, Holly has been at the vets all day, having major surgery. The silly mutt must have found a hard rubber ball on her walk on Tuesday night, and unbeknown to us, chewed it and swallowed it. The first we knew was when she started vomiting..............all day yesterday.
Then she brought this thing up..........it looked like a small pebble, but after prodding it a bit realised it was in fact part of a solid rubber ball. So to the vets this morning as she was still vomiting.
Lo and behold part of the ball was lodged in her gut, so she had to have surgery.

I've been worrying all day but the phone has just this minute rung to say she can come home.

Three cards made today to keep my mind active. All are orders............But the top one is my contribution to challenge 25 as a DT member of Stitchy Bear Stamps. She is called Ice Princess and is an image of Stitchy's

Kenny K challenge

My entry into the Kenny K challenge......................... Missy ( short for Melissa) will be 16 soon and as she is an up and coming singer, what better image to use! We couldn't keep her off the Karaoke Saturday when we went to a party.
The papers were free in this months Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, nice and bright and young looking!

Two more orders

This is for a married couple who celebrate their birthdays almost together. So seeing as they are both 40 this year they are holding a 40th Birthday Ball ( gowns and all) The bra card is about the fourth I have made for this customer this year. She says they always go down well with her girlfriends!!

My entry for the Bella Studio Challenge

It doesn't look like anyone has joined in yet. I hope there are a few more by the end of the week!

Wow Wow Wow ....good news to share.

I was approached this week and asked to be on the reserve DT for Stitchy Bear Stamps. I feel highly honoured, I've never done anything like this before, and hope I can do them proud!

Kenny K challenge has come round again

Wow that went around quickly........Doesn't seem a week ago they were having their first one. 77 entries the first week too, so well done you lot.............it just goes to show you and your images are a winner!
This weeks challenge is taken from a card sketch/ map. I love this little golfer, and I remember some one saying choose your backing papers first, then colour your image to match. Sooooooo much easier, than hunting around for papers to match your colouring!!

A new ribbon technique.

A new ribbon technique I picked up from Bella studio blog http://bellastudiodigichallenge.blogspot.com/ Maybe a bit fussy! It certainly needs no more embellishments! The first time I've used this KennyK image too...........Brilliant for a teen!

A couple more free digi stamps this time

First of all, a free image Mo Manning had on her Facebook page. You have to be quick when these come up as she only puts them on for 24 hrs. Isn't she gorgeous? And next, another free image which can be found here http://bodilsscrappeverden.blogspot.com/ she does several of these little images, they are so cute!

A Card for the first of the Kenny K challenges

I've only had my promarkers for a week or so and I'm only just building up my colours. I've not tried pastels before, so when I saw their first challenge was "Pastels" I thought oh dear! But I do like the combination of pink and green so thought, why not give it a go! Good luck to everyone that enters...................Something tells me you'll get a lot of enties 'cos the images are fantastic!

Flowers made from cardstock!

Yes cardstock! Aren't they fantastic? I watched a tutorial and just had to have a go. Once started I didn't know when to stop. I made 15 in less than an hour. And what a good way to use all your scraps of card up!! Have a look at this......
