Glamour and Glitz at LIM

Hi everyone

GLAMOUR AND GLITZ

this week at Less is More

I had a long hard think about this, as I like to make cards I will eventually use. Also looking at everyone's photos, most were finding them very difficult to photograph. Then I remembered I had some glitter card so designed a fairly simple card with an ornamental brad  I bought a while ago.
Added two photos, as the first one came out two different colours on the glitter card, and as you can see on the second....it is the same....and photographed much better

Leaves and background flower die cut with Marianne creatables LR0156

Less is More Mk 2

Ha ha, I'm back into the swing of things now!
I've just been through all my stash looking for a particular ribbon (I still can't find it)
BUT I did find these metal butterflies, and a sentiment with a metal rim.................so.........Another card for the Less is More challenge, seeing as this week is to use some sort of hardware. I wasn't particularly happy with the first one anyway, and like this one better!

Less is more card

Well it's a long awaited hello from me. If you've missed me, it's because I've been in hospital for five and a half months. I won't bore you with the details here, but it is one hell of a HORROR story!!  If you'd like to know the details you can read them HERE
The consultant now thinks it will be at least April until it is all sorted. And I will be left with a big dent in my btm!

Anyway back to the job in hand..............Less is More...........I've missed you.
I've been home from hospital for about five weeks now and thought I had better get back into the swing of things.
The task this week is to add hardware..........and the only metal I have are charms......The quote was said to my husband yesterday, by an elderly man walking his dog. I thought it would make a good card, so I was glad when I could use it!

A few Christmas cards from the new La Pashe CD

So so easy to do....just print and cut. I made them 6 x 6 but they could be made a lot bigger.
I like them, not very often do I make square Christmas Cards

Thought I would try this too

Having made one similar to this, see previous post......... I thought I would try with butterflies.. I think I like this better. Sentiment in pink as I am having a problem with my black ink cartridge at the moment as it is printing with a shadow!!
Butterflies inked with pink on the edges.

Ooooops!! They were told I was a girl!!

This is going to seem strange to me, as being in hospital for so long I didn't see Emma pregnant. Now she has had a baby boy, but were told it was going to be a girl. I've heard about a mistake the other way round, but never this way...............They have done the nursery in pink too. ooooops!!
It took a while to sort a name out I think...they probably had loads of girls names chosen. I love his name and it goes well with their surname which is Goff

One I have had in my head for a while

You know how it is, you get an idea, and have to put it into practice.
The hearts are a free download from Cuddly Buddly.......A digital image..........I took it into a graphics program and took all the background out so I could print it onto patterned BP. I also took the middle out of one, so I could add Birthday wishes.

A few made recently

Two for a little girl who is half Indian, and is coming up one. Aarya, what a lovely name. I wanted to darken the skin just slightly on the images, as I didn't feel European colouring was right. I hope I did right, they seemed to like them.

Next were just a couple of orders, two birthdays and a get well card. The girl with the flowers is a favourite of mine at the moment.

Al these cards are downloads from The Clipart Fairy mixed with different images and frames, and maybe the colours have been tweaked a bit too lol
