Less is More week 8 mark 2

My second entry into the Less is More challenge for this week....................I was browsing through the entries this morning and decided to have another go. I just love this image and thought it would go with this quote quite well. the lady is layered and as usual is from "The Clipart Fairy"

Butterfly Kisses

As you can see I have a new toy!!!
It is a fantastic download from "The clipart Fairy" The butterflies are printed onto vellum, so look really transparent, they are sprayed with adhesive and sprinkled with glamour dust. You can't show the effect to it's advantage with a photo...... they look so much better in the flesh!

Less is More week 8

This weeks challenge from Less is More is a sketch. A long narrow card.............I decided to do a DL, which I haven't done in ages. So it's good to have a change!
I recently bought a lovely download from "The clipart fairy" The butterfly is printed onto vellum, or in my case parchment, cut out and sprayed with adhesive then sprinkled with glamour dust. I've done a couple of layers and topped it off with three pearls.

I have knotted the ribbon behind the butterfly to make it stand off the card slightly.
The text is computer generated and is called Amienne

A Host of Butterflies

Normally if making this type of card I add a shower of white/cream flowers down the centre. But yesterday I had run out so went to my local (tiny) craft shop to get some............and they didn't have any either. So I had a look around and found these butterflies. A little expensive though when you need to use at least seven on one card I am looking into ways on how I can make my own. I have plenty of butterfly images, which I could print onto acetate.......................I can see a little play coming on today.
This Mum card is for s friends Mum who will be 80, but the last thing she wanted on there was her age..............."Oh no, Mum wouldn't want to be reminded!" I don't know though, they say these things and are disappointed when no card says 80! The frame and BP are downloads from "The clipart fairy" they can be found HERE and are really reasonably priced.

"Less is More" Week 7

The challenge can be found HERE............I'm not sure on this one, I started off making the card with the guitar but it was not a stamp and everyone seems to be stamping. I'm not a stamper but I do enjoy digital stamps so decided to have another go and use Kenny K's Hot Dog! Coloured with promarkers. The black line is computer generated as is the font which is "Fabulous 50's"
Again the line is computer generated and the font is the same "Fabulous 50's"

Challenge card for "Less is More"

This will be the first time I have entered this challenge, which can be found HERE
The guidelines are "Clean and simple"
"One layer"
With the title "Off the edge"

Image is a freebie digi stamp coloured with promarkers, which was back in August last year. But Spyder does sell her stamps , so it could be still available. Spyder's Corner

I am quite pleased with this one............but as a crafter I still feel as if I've cheated by printing straight onto the card.........I don't know about you?

Also entered into
Simplicity - "Out of the Box"
One stamp Craft Challenge -Clean & Simple

I thought my mojo had gone walkabout!!

Amazing!!................I go all week with very little to do, and come Satuday and Sunday the orders start rolling in. The first one is for Sally who has a partner not a husband. Not sure on the set up there as they live in separate homes, but still done a lovey dovey one. AND he wanted BIG! So this one is 12 x 6.......almost an A4 The next two I struggled with.................I think because it was the fourth anniversary card made in so many days!! But I got there in the end. I hope they like them!

Another Ruby card

The husband of the couple I made the first one for, requested this one this morning. Talk about leaving things late.......................their anniversary is tomorrow!

Oh oh Been spending again!!

On one of The Clipart Fairies latest designs. Called "Boy Trendz" We all seem to buy loads of girly bits but never any boy bits( Doesn't that sound rude he he?) .................Well, with this set you get 18 backing papers and 8 different boys all in the sitting position. The frames come separate. But even so with all the papers and all the boys AND 3 lots of frames I didn't spend £5
so really good value. They can be found HERE

These are actually made for the fun of it and to replenish my stock at the local village pub, who very kindly has a display in the pub of my cards. I think these will go well!

Ruby Wedding Anniversary Card

Had a call this morning for this one. The bride and groom silhouette I have in black and managed ages ago to convert into different colours for different anniversaries, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire etc. Do you know I can't for the life of me remember how I did it, so I'm glad I did all the colours back then!!

Another card featuring Heidi

Brilliant for men's cards. especially if they are 30 or over!! Have now used it for 40th 60th 65th and 70th birthdays, and I don't think it will be going to bed just yet!!
Megan's card.................Oh, you will be thinking she's used a boy image..............I know !! Megan is the biggest Tomboy I have ever known. She is always in jeans and baseball cap and the image is exactly her!!

Lastly Graham is a dear friend of ours who is suffering from terminal cancer, he was diagnosed 12 months ago and seems to be responding. He has been (Cohabiting with Ingrid for 16 years, in his words not mine!!) last year they got married, but he still wanted a card for Ingrid as she is always telling him he is not romantic. .....................................This was his design .........not mine!!
Actually printed onto acetate and wrapped around the card. Secured at the corners with DS tape and covered up with the pearls!

Art Deco plus Concertina Card

I have a friend who was a school cook before she retired.............hense the little chefs. The card is made from the length of an A3 sheet but cut to the depth of and A5 card It is then creased and folded concertina like to fit into an A5 envelope
The Art Deco is made from the Debbi Moore cd Decoupage delights Paris. I am not a fan of her backing papers so used one of the Bohemiam range from the clipart fairy.
The corners are from a font called corners.

Inspiration from another blogger

I was blog hopping as you do, and came across the instructions on how to make these bride and groom images made from hearts. It can be found HERE the veil was made from parchment, cut from an oval scalloped spell binders die and trimmed.
